Raya Gauntlett
Hello! I’m Raya Gauntlett, an artist with a background in photography, illustration, and graphic design. Based in Plymouth Meeting, just outside of Philadelphia, I’m passionate about creating portraits and product imagery that capture emotion and draw people in. This visual foundation led me to discover a desire to create work that people can physically interact with. Through architecture, I explore how space, material, and form shape human experience and connection. I approach design with a balance of creativity and technical curiosity, integrating artistic expression within the built environment.
In May 2025, I completed my studies at Saint Joseph’s University, earning a degree in Art with minors in Business and Graphic Design. I am currently pursuing a Master of Architecture at Thomas Jefferson University. Throughout my academic journey, from Saint Joe’s to now graduate school, I have continued to hone my design skills, with a focus on creating visually compelling and thoughtful compositions. My passion for design is deeply rooted in my upbringing. Growing up around my family’s construction business, alongside witnessing my mother’s creative side projects, gave me a deep appreciation for design’s power and impact.
